Nest Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the conditions and procedures for using Nest ("Service") provided by Lion and the Lab ("Company").

Article 2 (Service Description)

The Service is an integrated management app for homeschools and small learning communities, providing the following features:

  • Homeschool creation and member (operator, teacher, parent) management
  • Semester, class, and subject setup; child (student) registration and assignment
  • Timetable editing and management (teacher conflict detection, PNG export, classroom status board)
  • Parent hub (child timetable view, activity record access, announcements)
  • Teacher workstation (lesson planning, activity records, per-student observations, assignments, and attendance)
  • Community (announcements, bulletin boards, reporting and moderation)
  • Gallery (photo and video upload, Google Drive integration)

Article 3 (Accounts)

  • Users may register and log in with an email account.
  • Users are responsible for securely managing their account information.
  • Users may delete their account at any time through the app settings, and all data will be permanently removed upon deletion.

Article 4 (Homeschool Operation)

  • Homeschool operators create homeschools and manage members by inviting teachers and parents.
  • Operators may set permissions for each member based on role-based access control.
  • When a homeschool is deleted, all associated data (semesters, classes, timetables, activity records, gallery, etc.) will be permanently deleted.
  • The Company does not intervene in operational decisions within homeschools.

Article 5 (User Obligations)

  • Users must not use the Service for illegal or inappropriate purposes.
  • Users must not collect, use, or disclose others' personal information without authorization.
  • Users must not post inappropriate content (profanity, hate speech, illegal content, etc.) in the community or gallery.
  • Users must not use the content reporting feature falsely or maliciously.

Article 6 (Copyright and Intellectual Property)

  • Intellectual property rights for the Service's UI, design, software, and other content belong to the Company.
  • Copyright for content uploaded by users (photos, posts, etc.) belongs to the respective users.
  • The Company uses user-uploaded content solely for service provision purposes and does not disclose it externally.

Article 7 (Child Information Management)

  • Children's information is registered with the consent of guardians (homeschool operators or parents).
  • The Company complies with applicable laws (such as the Personal Information Protection Act) to protect children's personal information.
  • Guardians may modify or delete their children's information at any time.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

  • The Company is not liable for service unavailability due to network failures or disruptions in external services (cloud servers, Drive, etc.).
  • The Company does not intervene in or accept liability for disputes between homeschool members.
  • The Company is not responsible for issues arising from content posted by users in the community or gallery.

Article 9 (Service Modification and Suspension)

  • The Company may modify the Service or suspend it temporarily or permanently.
  • Users will be notified in advance through in-app announcements when the Service is modified or suspended.

Article 10 (Amendment of Terms)

The Company may amend these Terms and will notify users through in-app announcements. Users who do not agree to the amended Terms may discontinue use of the Service and delete their account.
