Lion and the Lab ("Company") values user privacy in providing the Steward AI service ("Service") and complies with applicable privacy laws. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use, store, and share it.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information (Required)
- Email Address: Account identification and management (email / Google / Apple Sign-In)
- Name: Display name within the service (provided via Google / Apple Sign-In; Apple lets you hide your name)
- User ID: Unique account identifier
- Profile Picture URL: Profile image provided via social sign-in
Service Data
- Portfolio data: Holdings, quantities, average cost, and portfolio snapshots
- Investment profile: Investment style and interested sectors/tickers entered during onboarding
- Watchlist & analysis requests: Stocks and ETFs you search, analyze, or follow
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device type, OS version, app version
- Product Interaction: Screen/button usage, subscription and portfolio creation events (Firebase Analytics)
- Device Identifiers: Advertising identifier (IDFA / Advertising ID), Firebase installation ID
- Advertising Data: Ad impressions and clicks (Google AdMob)
- Diagnostics: Crash, error, and performance logs (Firebase Crashlytics)
Purchase Information
- Purchase History: Subscription and credit in-app purchase records
- Payments are processed by the Apple App Store / Google Play; we do not collect payment-method details such as card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service, identify users, and manage login/accounts
- Store portfolios, watchlists, and investment profiles, and deliver analysis results
- Process subscription/credit purchases and apply benefits
- Improve the service, analyze usage, and diagnose errors and performance
- Serve personalized advertising and measure ad performance
- Provide customer support and send push notifications (e.g., daily briefings)
3. Third-Party Sharing & Processors
We rely on the following processors and partners to provide our service. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.

4. Advertising & App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
- The Service shows Google AdMob ads to free users and may use the advertising identifier (IDFA / Ad ID) for personalized advertising and measurement.
- On iOS, an App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown on first launch. If you decline, your IDFA is not used for tracking.
- You can limit ad tracking at any time in device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking / Android: reset your Advertising ID).
- Subscribing to Steward Pro removes ads from the app.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention Period: Until account deletion
- Deletion Method: Deleting your account in-app immediately removes your account and related data (portfolios, watchlists, investment profile) — non-recoverable
- Exception: Data may be retained where required by law
6. Your Rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of your personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information (delete your account in-app)
- Request suspension of personal information processing
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
